Halts and the kill switch
What a halt is
Section titled “What a halt is”When a monitoring limit triggers, the platform halts new orders — of a run or of a whole account contour:
- every new order is rejected and shown in the feed as rejected;
- the strategy’s process keeps working: it computes indicators and can close and update positions;
- open positions stay open;
- you get a Telegram notification with the breached limits and the time the halt lifts automatically, if any.
A halt stays in force even if the limit is removed or relaxed afterwards.
Where to see it
Section titled “Where to see it”- the run screen → Risk management: “New orders are halted by a risk limit”;
- the Risk management section: halted contours and runs, runs close to a limit, and limit usage (drawdown from the peak, loss of the day, losses in a row).
How it lifts
Section titled “How it lifts”- Daily loss — automatically at midnight (in your time zone);
- Losing streak — automatically after the Pause after a streak, if set;
- Drawdown and minimum capital — manually only.
To lift a halt manually, click Resume on the run screen or the account card. The current capital then becomes the new reference: the peak and the start of the day are recalculated from it.
Kill switch
Section titled “Kill switch”The account card in Risk management has a Kill switch. It immediately halts new orders of all runs of the contour (exchange + live or demo) until you lift it by hand. Open positions stay — they can still be closed.
Use it when something went wrong and you need to stop opening positions at once, without stopping the strategies’ processes.
